The Struggle Is Real When It Comes To Servicing Your Car

It can be very tempting in this day and age to delay a car service.  This could be for many different reasons.  Some of them are listed below:

 

Most people these days are really feeling the pressures of modern life.  Whether it’s constantly chasing the kids, or the pressures of trying to find a work life balance.  Everybody feels as though they are time poor, and things like servicing their cars often just slip by the wayside.  Unfortunately, this can mean a more expensive bill the next time you actually find time for to have the car serviced.

 

One of the other reasons, and I’m sure you can relate to this – is money and your budget.  Only the lucky few have the luxury of not having to budget their wages or benefits week to week.  For most people, However, since many of us need our cars to live our normal day to day routines, it’s really imperative that we keep our cars maintained & have them running efficiently.

 

I’d suggest you work out approximately how many kilometres you will do in a year, and then use that information to calculate how many times your car would need a minor service and a major service.

 

Call around & get some quotes for your particular make and model of vehicle.  Calculate a total dollar value, then add a buffer, maybe an extra ten percent.  If you get paid weekly, divide the number by 52 & make sure you put this money away into a separate bank account.  Or if you’re on a monthly payment cycle, divide the number by 12 & put away the money so it’s ready when you need it!
